About the Role:
One Step Closer Group Inc is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Apple Valley, CA. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing hands-on care and support. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community activities, and recreational outings
- Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
- Encourage skill development, independence, and community integration
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive living environment for all clients

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a DSP, DSP 1 & 2 required ( 1 will do)
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Already completed Physical & TB shot (1 year to date valid)
- Background clearance completed
- CPR/First Aid certification completed
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills, professionalism
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to person-centered care
